THE AFPAD'S MISSION

Founded "by victims' families for victims' families", the association's main mission is to accompany, to advise and to defend the interests of families touched by a homicide or a disappearance under apparently criminal circumstances.La mission de l'AFPAD

THE POWER OF MUTUAL AID

Few words can appease the pain experienced by victims' families, but knowing that we are not alone to carry this emotional burden is always appreciated.

Small gestures can be worth thousands of words: a handshake, a pat on the shoulder, an invitation to lunch.La force de l'entraide

A MORE EQUITABLE JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS

AFPAD represents several hundred Québec families and is fighting for a "better justice to better protect victims and society". We advocate that criminals receive sentences proportional to the gravity of the crimes they committed. In addition, AFPAD fully supports initiatives aimed at preventing crime and violence.Une justice plus équitable pour les victimes

CHARTER OF VICTIM'S RIGHTS

An important place must be given to the victims within our justice system so they may exercise an active role instead of being spectators with no right to speak up.

Consequently, victims must not only have the right to voice their opinions and concerns, but they must also be entitled to compensation for damages they suffered.Charte des droits des victimes
