The AFPAD is a non-profit organization that currently receives
funding from the departments of justice of Quebec and Canada. The Victims of Crime Fund
is also a financial partner of the AFPAD.
The goal of the association is to be funded exclusively by private
sources within three years.
Private funding would allow us to act independently and to the
greatest extent possible as an agent of change of the laws and
regulations in effect in the Quebec and Canadian criminal justice
systems.
The funds collected during the fund-raising campaign conducted
in large Quebec corporations and with the general public will be
used primarily to assist the families of victims that are in need.
AFPAD has created two support funds:
1 - The Isabelle Boisvenu fund which offers educational bursaries to students studying victimology.
2 - The emergency fund which gives financial support to families by defraying some costs related to the funeral services or for psychologcal support.
The AFPAD is a registered charitable organization
and issues the appropriate tax receipts.
Effective immediately, ANYONE can
